UBN are measured through several components that assess deficiencies in housing, public services, education, economic dependence, and overcrowding. These indicators have been adapted to measure access to the rights of the Wayúu indigenous people.
What does the UBN component refer to in terms of non-attendance?

This indicator refers to Wayúu households with school-age children who do not attend an educational institution in the geographical area of reference.
What does the NBI component refer to in Housing?

This indicator refers to dwellings with physical characteristics that make them unsuitable for human habitation. The indicator distinguishes between dwellings in municipal capitals and those in the rest of the territory for classification purposes.
What does the NBI component refer to in terms of economic dependence?

This indicator refers to households in the Wayúu population that have a high level of economic dependence. This situation includes households with more than three people per employed member, and where the head of the household has completed a maximum of two years of primary education.
