5 milestones of DANE within the framework of Ruling T-302 of 2017

  • Participatory development of agreements with authorities and organizations of the Wayúu people for the joint definition and construction of the Information System.

  • Formation of integrated technical teams made up of representatives of the Wayúu people and DANE, responsible for identifying statistical gaps, joint management mechanisms for the system, and technical guidelines.

  • Participatory development of the Provisional Action Plan, in compliance with Orders 696 of 2022 and 1290 of 2023.

  • Design and implementation of the Wayúu Multidimensional Registry, including its collection form, geostatistical framework, and field operations.

  • Socialization and delivery of the Wayúu Information System, as a platform for coordinating relevant data on the living conditions, needs, and territorial dynamics of this population, with an ethnic, territorial, and differential approach.

Purpose of the Ruling

The fundamental objective of ruling T-302 of 2017 is to ensure that the State complies with its obligations to protect the rights of Wayúu children and that the necessary measures are implemented to resolve the humanitarian crisis affecting this population.
